Lynne Capocciama

My name is Lynne Capocciama, a local resident, artist, parent, and carer for more than 20 years and now Community Champion of Roehampton. I’m a hardworking self-starter with the ability to build relationships with people from all walks of life and I’m known for getting things done, often with little support and minimal resources.

I’m based on the Alton Estate in Roehampton, one of the 10% most deprived areas in the UK in terms of income and housing. But it’s home to some of the most caring and talented people I know and I love calling this place home. It does have its challenges and I’ve seen at first hand the impact of isolation felt by residents and the lack of support and opportunities for younger people that has on our communities.
